Created by Delmadamulachari. Wood has been used for all the elements here. Pillars, pillars, beams are all carved. There are 32 wooden pillars here. A large number of carvings can be seen here. Those carvings vary from one to another. Wrestling, soldier, drummer, nalagana are valuable creations.
These carvings are on rectangular panels. These designs are very finely carved. Madol Kurupa is made by connecting 26 parallax.
All these carvings belong to the Gampola period. The style of Kandy paintings has been added to these designs. So we strive to preserve this precious heritage.
